The Jibek joly tourist train successfully set off on its first journey along a unique route: "Almaty–Turkestan–Tashkent–Almaty". The tour is designed for 5 days, during which passengers will be able not only to enjoy a comfortable trip, but also to visit two cultural and historical centers of the region - Turkestan and Tashkent.
The new tourist train includes five modern Kazakh-made wagons that were not previously used on other routes. The train crew consists of the head of the train, eight experienced conductors and an electrician, which guarantees a high level of service.
The exterior of the train is decorated with the image of the national flag, and the interior emphasizes the atmosphere of Kazakh hospitality: bed linen in gold tones with national ornaments creates a unique flavor, and the restaurant car, decorated in a traditional style, offers a varied menu of dishes of national and European cuisine.
"For the first time we went on a trip on a tourist train on the route Almaty - Turkestan - Tashkent - Almaty. Turkestan and Tashkent became our stops - one day in Turkestan and two days in Tashkent. This is a landmark event that shows how actively railway tourism is developing and our tourism potential in general.",- the passenger noted.
