Kazakh Tourism was awarded the prestigious Uzakrota Travel Awards for its contribution to the promotion of the country in the international tourism arena along with representatives of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Serbia, South Korea, South Africa, Thailand and Ireland.
The Uzakrota Travel Summit 2024, one of the key events in the travel industry, was held in Istanbul. During the event, annual prizes were awarded in 40 nominations for results in the field of tourism and the promotion of countries as attractive tourist destinations.
The results of the competition were summed up taking into account the opinions of experts and a wide audience. Kazakhstan was awarded the Uzakrota Travel Awards for the first time.
The event brought together 15,000 delegates from 110 countries. Kazakh Tourism presented the tourism potential and investment opportunities of Kazakhstan to the summit participants.
In 2025, Kazakhstan plans to continue strengthening tourism ties with Turkey and other countries by participating in the international tourism exhibition EMITT in Istanbul.
Turkey ranks second in terms of the number of arrivals to Kazakhstan, not counting the CIS countries. The visa-free regime for up to 30 days and regular direct flights between Kazakhstan and Turkey contribute to the growth of tourist flow. In the first half of this year, the number of Turkish travelers visiting our country increased by 12% compared to the same period in 2023.
This year, the international publishing house Lonely Planet marked Kazakhstan as one of the best countries for travel in 2025 according to the results of the "Best in Travel" rating.
