Today, the XXVIII session of the regional Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan was held under the chairmanship of Akim of the region Serik Shapkenov, the press service of the akim of the region reports.
The Head of the region noted the importance of the work of the regional Assembly and noted that joint activities to preserve interethnic stability will continue.
– Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stressed that preserving the unity and solidarity of the country in the most difficult modern period is the main task. This is especially important in those critical hours when the geopolitical situation in the world is becoming more complicated. At this stage, we must be especially united, and I believe that each of you will make a worthy contribution to the continuation of the peaceful path. While independence and patriotism lay the foundation for unity and solidarity, justice and responsibility include law and order. Hard work and professional qualifications are the key to creativity and innovation. The promotion of these values will become a reliable basis for overcoming the global threats of the 21st century," Shapkenov said.
A number of issues on ensuring social harmony and national unity, maintaining stability, and strengthening interethnic harmony were discussed at the session.
Following the session, for the significant contribution of Kazakhstan to strengthening the unity of the country, preserving peace and harmony, and developing spiritual culture, the gold medal of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan "Birlik" was awarded to Kenes Kosybayev, Chairman of the Council of Elders of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan of Atyrau region.
And a member of the Council of Mothers, Sarah Izmukhanbetova, was awarded a Certificate of Honor by the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan for her worthy contribution to strengthening the unity of the country, social harmony and patriotism.
In addition, representatives of the regional Assembly were presented with letters of thanks and congratulations from the akim of Atyrau region.
