The Zhanuya Family Support Center has started its work in the village of Kogaly in the Kerbulak district of the Zhetisu region. This is the fourth such center in the region. Last year, similar centers were launched in Panfilov, Sarkan districts and the city of Tekeli, the press service of the akim of the Zhetisu region reports.
In accordance with the instruction of the Head of State, the work of the Zhanuya Family Support center is aimed at improving the quality of life of socially vulnerable families, supporting their economic independence and getting citizens out of a difficult life situation.
According to the director of the Zhanuya center, Dauren Zhumagaliev, the center has 15 seats, a children's playroom, a laundry room, a dining room, and a recreation room. It is expected that special transport will be provided to the institution in the near future. 19 people are employed on a permanent basis. The new institution is fully funded by the State.
By the way, the center is located in the former building of the district polyclinic, which was empty, where current repairs were carried out at the expense of the local budget, equipment and everything necessary for its successful operation were purchased.
- The work of this center is aimed at resolving family conflicts, social, legal, and psychological support is provided here to people who find themselves in a difficult situation. Persons with signs of domestic violence are given the opportunity to temporarily stay for up to one month. I am sure that the professionals of this institution will contribute to the effective solution of various social and everyday problems of the region," D. Zhumagaliyev says.
Local residents also shared their opinion:
- The family is the foundation of the state. In order for the state to be strong, every family must first be strong. Now, unfortunately, divorces, especially among young families, have become a frequent occurrence. Therefore, it is important to provide timely support to families in order to save them," says Serik Turbekov, Chairman of the Council of Elders of the Kogalinsky rural district.
It should be noted that mobile groups will now be created in the Kerbulak district to identify and support people in difficult situations early. The mobile groups include mayors of rural districts, social workers, representatives of education and health and law enforcement agencies, that is, specialists from various industries, which makes it possible to provide an integrated approach.
In general, Zhetisu family support centers "Zhanuya" were opened in 2023 in Panfilov, Sarkan districts and the city of Tekeli. 82 families applied to them, whose members received psychological and social assistance. And this year, along with the center in the village of Kogaly in the Kerbulak district, such facilities will be opened in Karatal and Alakol districts by the end of the year. It is also planned to open in Eskeldinsky, Koksu and Aksu districts in 2025.
