At the Government meeting, Olzhas Bektenov stressed the importance of developing agricultural science to increase the competitiveness of the agricultural sector.
As part of the execution of the instructions of the Head of State, the Government is implementing a set of measures. Thus, the Institute of Horse Breeding is being created on the basis of the Aktobe branch of the National Agrarian Scientific and Educational Center. For its full launch in 2025, the Ministry of Agriculture has been tasked with completing the necessary procedures by the end of this year.
Special attention is paid to the introduction of innovative technologies and the application of world experience for the dynamic development of the agro-industrial sector.
"The Head of State instructed to increase the volume of the domestic seed fund to 80% in 2028, including elite seeds – at least 15%. We have the necessary potential. Scientific institutes are already breeding seed varieties that significantly increase yields. We will continue to develop agricultural science with the introduction of the best world practices. The Ministries of Agriculture and Science need to prepare systematic solutions on this issue," the head of government noted.
