The Regional Inspector of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, U.S. Tnaliev, together with representatives of the Ministries of Emergency Situations and Water Resources, inspected the implementation of measures aimed at protecting the population and territory of the region in the upcoming flood period of 2025. The inspection was carried out in Borodulikhinsky, Beskaragai and Kokpetinsky districts.
In the Abai region, flood control works are carried out within the framework of the developed Plan for the engineering protection of settlements. Carrying out shore protection works, cleaning and dredging of riverbeds, construction of dams, repair of bridges, installation of culverts, additional culverts will increase the level of protection of 40 settlements in 6 districts of the region from flood waters.
In addition, an important part of the event was the monitoring of the condition of hydraulic structures in the districts of the region, which play a key role in protecting the population and infrastructure from floods.
