As part of the large-scale environmental campaign "Taza Kazakhstan", the capital's volunteers of the Astana Zhastary Youth Resource center, together with the akimat of the Baikonur district, cleaned snow in the courtyards of private houses of lonely elderly people, and also assisted in unloading coal, the official website of the capital's akimat reports.
Over 20 volunteers took part in the action.
The young people removed the snow, thereby ensuring the safe movement of pensioners in their yards. In some homes, young people also helped move and remove coal to storage areas.
"My name is David Sharipov. I am a volunteer at the youth resource center. This is not the first action we are participating in. The campaign "Taza Kazakhstan" has widely captured the interest of young people. We should understand that this is not only about clean streets and parks, but it is also about pure intentions and good deeds. The Head of State has repeatedly spoken about the invaluable contribution of volunteer activities. Our guys are always the first to respond and rush to help if necessary. I would like as many young residents of the capital as possible to follow the example of our volunteers and join this noble action," the volunteer shared his impressions.
Volunteers believe that such events help the younger generation to develop communication skills, mutual assistance and teamwork, which is extremely important for the harmonious development of personality and strengthening social cohesion. Involving young people in such noble causes contributes to the development of empathy, forms a more stable and friendly society.
"Winter has just begun, and there has already been a lot of snow. I don't have time to clean it myself. Well done, guys, they helped me very timely. I don't know what I'm doing alone. Praise be to the parents who raised such children. We were so happy when they told us they would help with snow removal. There was such a snowfall that it was difficult to open the gate, but there was no strength as before. Thanks a lot to the guys who spent their time and effort to help. This is actually a great help for us," said a resident of the Baikonur district.
By the way, Astana Zhastary activists also help public utilities workers who clean the city of snow for days on end. For their important work for the capital, volunteers are constantly holding actions to distribute hot tea and bauyrsaks in order to support and express gratitude for their work.
