In honor of the Republic Day, the capital's cubers recreated the image of the National Flag on the map of Kazakhstan from Rubik's cubes in the MEGA SILK WAY shopping and entertainment center, the official website of the Mayor's Office of Astana reports.
3 thousand cubes were used for the construction of the panel. According to eyewitnesses, the creative project gave a special festive mood.
The painting weighing 500 kg was assembled by cubers in 6 hours. Members of the Republican Speedcubing Federation organized a master class for young people and children.
"In honor of the Republic Day, we accepted the offer of the MEGA SILK WAY shopping and entertainment center and decided to assemble the flag of our country on the map of Kazakhstan from Rubik's cubes. In total, six guys took part. Our goal is to promote the development of speedcubing sports in Kazakhstan and increase the patriotism of the viewer by creating the country's flag and other images,” said Chingiz Kairylbashirov, a member of the Republican Speedcubing Federation.
"We really like it. We were impressed by the talent of the youth, the desire to raise the spirit of patriotism," said Gulzima Ibragimova, a resident of the city.
After Kuberoa's performance, the event continued with a festive concert.
