Karaganda lifeguard won silver at the Kettlebell Lifting World Cup

Roman Gerasimenko, an employee of the Emergency Department of the Karaganda region, became the silver medalist of the World Cup in kettlebell lifting. This is another achievement in the athlete's career.
The Kettlebell Lifting World Cup was held in China, in the city of Haining. More than 100 kettlebell weights from 15 countries of the world gathered for the competition.
To participate in the tournament, Roman Gerasimenko, an employee of the fire station No. 28 of the village of Molodezhny, prepared for six months. According to him, he practiced at any free moment – in training, at home, at work. As a result, he managed to take second place in the weight category up to 85 kg.
– Several factors were missing before the victory. Kettlebells are different everywhere, their material and shape. Besides, it was a hard road. Well, Russians are now superior to everyone in this sport. These are very serious rivals," says Roman Gerasimenko, the Master of Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan in kettlebell lifting. – I hope this is not my last competition. As long as I have the strength and opportunities, I will continue to participate in tournaments.
Roman became interested in kettlebell lifting at the age of 17. Now he is 32 years old, and he has already become a multiple winner and prize-winner of national and international tournaments. The lifeguard considers kettlebell lifting an ideal combination of strength, endurance and character. In recent years, he has also been sharing his experience with the younger generation, training children in the youth sports school of his native village.
At the same time as his active sports career, Roman continues to work in the Emergency Department. He claims that work and sport are perfectly combined thanks to discipline and perseverance.
