Work is underway in several districts of the city, including the GMZ, the Koktem residential area and the Zhana Kargal IC. Akim of the region Askhat Shakharov inspected the facilities, assessing their current condition and progress of work.
He visited the Koktem residential area, where work is being completed on the construction of a two-kilometer-long canal. The contractor "Quartz - Specservice" LLP plans to deliver the facility by the end of the year. Also at the stage of completion of work on laying a canal in the Zhana Kargal IC. Its length was 1.5 km.
"We are concreting the canal now. The water that will flow from Akzhar will pass the houses in the horticultural collective "Zhana Kargal", leaving through this drain. The work is being carried out in accordance with the schedule. We plan to complete them next month. The length of the canal is 1.5 kilometers. Of these, 534 meters will be concreted. Fifteen people work at the facility," said Temirlan Zhamankulov, CEO of ARLAN TRANS-LOGISTICS LLP.
The largest project is the construction of a storm sewer to drain rain and meltwater from the territory of Iletskaya Street and the GMZ district. The length of the canal is 3.8 km. The completion of the project was postponed to next year.
The governor of the region stressed that residents are concerned about the upcoming spring flood, so he instructed to carry out high-quality work and deliver the facilities on time to prevent flooding of residential areas in the spring.
