Today at the government meeting chaired by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, issues related to the implementation of the Head of State’s instructions at the first agricultural workers’ forum, as well as ensuring the safety and quality of goods in the domestic market, were discussed. The meeting was attended by representatives of relevant ministries and regional akimat, who joined via online communication.After the government meeting, several instructions were issued on issues discussed during a special meeting led by the head of the region, Nurlybek Nalibayev.
“In last year's address, the Head of State set the goal to increase the share of processed products in the agro-industrial complex to 70% within the next three years. It is necessary to increase commercial dairy farms, poultry factories, egg factories, feedlots, and actively continue industrialization of the agro-industrial complex in the region.
The foremost aim of the head of state is to develop the nation into the key logistics and transport center of the Eurasian region. Our region has great potential in this area. International transport and railway corridors 'Western Europe - Western China' and 'Trans-Caspian routes' pass through our region. It is necessary to maximize our agricultural, trade, and logistics potential. Furthermore, exporting melons and vegetables is a great opportunity. It is necessary to improve the logistics system and warehouses, expand the range of exported products ", said N. Nalibayev.
In accordance with the instructions of the Head of State, 4.400 hectars of agricultural crops were sowed using water-saving technologies. In order to reduce water loss, farmers leveled 55 thousand hectars of rice fields with lasers in subsequent years. As a result, water was saved and productivity increased by 30%. This year, 250 units of agricultural machinery were purchased for KZT 8.8 billion, and the machine and tractor fleets were updated by 5%. 4 440 units of machines took part in the autumn harvest campaign, and the work was completed on time.
