Snow removal works in the capital are carried out in an uninterrupted mode. Municipal services work around the clock in two shifts, taking hundreds of trucks of snow out of the city every day, the official website of the Mayor's Office of Astana reports.
Since the morning of November 20, about 2,700 road workers and more than 1,300 units of special equipment have been involved in snow removal and removal in the city.
Over the past night, from November 19 to 20, 1,289 trucks of snow were taken to snow ranges, which exceeds 17.4 thousand cubic meters.
In total, since the beginning of the winter period, 39,734 flights have taken out over 502 thousand cubic meters of snow from the city.
According to the rules, first of all, areas with very heavy traffic are cleared in the city so that there is no congestion on the roads. Also, areas with medium intensity are removed from snow — squares, station areas, sidewalks, access roads to social facilities, etc.
The priority is cleaning on central streets, on passenger transport routes, bus stops and sidewalks.
There are several equipped snow ranges in the capital. They are equipped with a system for reading license plates of dump trucks, video surveillance cameras are installed here, lighting is connected.
