The capital's Department of Emergency Situations conducted a preventive inspection of the private residential sector and dormitories in the Baikonur district of Astana, the official website of the capital's akimat reports.
During the event, the fire safety rules were explained to residents, in addition, specialists inspected the furnace and gas equipment.
During the tour, emergency personnel installed carbon monoxide sensors in the homes of socially vulnerable segments of the population. These devices allow you to detect a fire at an early stage.
"To date, we have registered more than 800 families belonging to socially vulnerable segments of the population. About 650 carbon monoxide sensors are installed in their homes. This allows you to warn residents about the occurrence of a fire and respond promptly to a fire. Work on equipping the remaining families with carbon monoxide sensors will be completed by the end of the month and is being carried out jointly with the district akimats," said Azhar Rustemova, head of the State Fire Control Department of the Department of Emergency Situations of Astana city.
