On November 20 this year, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan hosted a meeting between Vice Minister N.Sharbiyev and representatives of the Parliament of Mongolia.
During the meeting, the Parties discussed the implementation of environmental legislation, sustainable environmental management and the use of biological resources.
The Vice Minister informed about the process of issuing environmental permits and licenses. He noted the transparency of this procedure and that the permit system is aimed at preventing environmental violations.
In addition, N. Sharbiev outlined the main requirements for obtaining licenses, including mandatory compliance with environmental standards, environmental impact assessment and confirmation of the availability of the necessary infrastructure for the safe conduct of environmental activities.
Following the meeting, the Parties agreed to support the initiatives of Kazakhstan and Mongolia aimed at protecting the environment in the international arena.
