22.11.2024 11:30:00 2282The Subcontract Exchange-2024 was held in Astana. Large subsoil users, Kazakhstani commodity producers, representatives of system-forming enterprises and government agencies gathered at one site.
The Exchange was organized by the Kazakhstan Industry and Export Center "QazIndustry" with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
According to the KCE, the main goal of the Exchange is to create effective B2B platforms for business communication between representatives of small and medium-sized businesses with large domestic companies in order to establish cooperative relations on the manufacture and supply of products.
The opening of the Exchange was attended by Vice Minister of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan O.Saparbekov, Chairman of the Board of JSC "KCE "QazIndustry" B.Bekenov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Union of Machine Builders of Kazakhstan E.Makanov, the management of a number of large domestic enterprises of MMC.
"The Head of State instructed to increase the share of local content in regulated purchases and fully launch the mechanism for concluding offtake contracts. Our country has a serious potential for the development of a belt of small and medium-sized enterprises around large businesses. Large structures should actively enter into long-term contracts with local companies. This allows our producers to plan their production activities for a long period, invest in modernization, create new production facilities and jobs," said Vice Minister of Industry and Construction Olzhas Saparbekov.
As O. Saparbekov added, the Ministry is actively working to improve legislation in the field of procurement of subsurface users. Thus, legislative amendments have been developed providing for the development of programs for the development of domestic value and the conclusion of contracts aimed at the development of domestic industry. Such innovations will create conditions for guaranteed sales of finished products of Kazakhstani enterprises, ensuring stable demand in the domestic market.
At the same time, domestic producers will be offered counter-commitments to increase production volumes, produce high-quality products and at a cost appropriate to market conditions.
The main topic of the Subcontract Exchange is the development of industrial cooperation between large mining enterprises and domestic producers. This form of cooperation simultaneously solves the problem of additional workload for a number of sectors of the manufacturing industry - metallurgy, mechanical engineering, chemistry, construction industry and light industry.
This year, 246 long-term contracts worth more than 108 billion tenge and 39 offtake contracts worth almost 25 billion tenge were signed between MMK enterprises and domestic manufacturers. Moreover, these indicators are formed only at the expense of the main MMC enterprises. The subcontract Exchange is an important event for businesses in raising awareness and expanding connections.
In his speech, Berik Bekenov, Chairman of the Management Board of JSC KCE "QazIndustry", focused on the importance of holding such a format of events for communication and exchange of opinions of experts and representatives of business communities.
"Assistance to enterprises in finding new suppliers is the most important task of our center. Subcontracting exchanges allow us to present the potential of domestic manufacturers to large customers, build efficient production chains, establish long-term and stable relationships," explained the head of QazIndustry.
Within the framework of the event, a memorandum of cooperation on the development of the manufacturing industry and increasing domestic value was signed between QazIndustry and subsoil users (Kazakhmys, Kazzinc and ERG). The document implies, among other things, the creation of a single analytical center based on QazIndustry to develop systemic measures and involve all subsoil users in the work.
During the Exchange, long-term contracts and offtake contracts were signed between large subsurface users and domestic producers for more than 5 billion tenge. They relate to the supply of spare parts for mining and underground equipment, panels, various pipes, sewing products, bedding, enamel pipes.
At the conclusion of the Exchange, a number of B2B meetings were held on the business platform, at which representatives of SMEs met with customers to establish contacts on the manufacture and supply of products and exchange contacts.
