Mayor of Almaty Yerbolat Dosayev held a meeting with German Consul General Matthias Kiesler

Yerbolat Dosayev met with the new Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Almaty, Matthias Kiesler, who took office in August this year.
During the meeting, the prospects for development in the trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, attracting investments and technologies in the manufacturing industry, healthcare, ecology and digitalization were discussed. In particular, the issues of construction of a plant for the production of thermal insulation materials with a total cost of 75 billion tenge and the creation of 300 jobs, which is being implemented by an investor from Germany on the territory of the industrial zone of Almaty, were considered. The possibility of hosting a regional service hub for one of the leading multinational companies engaged in the production of equipment and components for the energy industry was also discussed. It is assumed that this hub will provide service support to industry companies in the countries of Central Asia and the Caucasus.
In general, the mutual trade turnover has traditionally remained at a high level, amounting to more than $1 billion in 9 months of this year. Today, 396 enterprises with the participation of German capital operate in Almaty, or a third of all located in Kazakhstan.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to strengthen relations and expressed readiness to implement a number of joint projects.
