In Astana, every year before the start of the heating season, the Department of Emergency Situations conducts preventive measures in the private housing sector, the official website of the capital's akimat reports.
Preventive measures include yard visits, raids, and propaganda work. Special attention is paid to the installation of furnaces and chimneys, electric heaters. Homeowners will be given recommendations on troubleshooting when installing stoves and chimneys.
At the initiative of the department, from November 19 to 23, 2024, in accordance with the plan for additional preventive work in the residential sector of Astana city, together with representatives of the Akimat, housing Inspectorate, Ministry of Internal Affairs, etc., it is planned to bypass Barracks-rental housing, dormitories, places of residence of socially vulnerable segments of the population, places of accommodation of hostels and the individual housing sector. In winter, the vast majority of fires occur at these facilities.
The main attention during the bypass is paid to the installation of furnaces and chimneys, electric heaters. In case of violations in the installation of stoves and chimneys, homeowners are given recommendations for troubleshooting and are given memos on fire safety.
According to statistics, 625 fires have been registered in the capital this year. Most of the visits to fires (40% of the total number of visits) are in the residential sector.
Therefore, it is very important to strictly follow the rules of fire safety in order to avoid tragic consequences.
To prevent fires, owners of facilities and residents of Barrack-rental housing, hostels, public dormitories and private residential sectors must strictly comply with fire safety rules:
* compliance with fire safety rules during installation and operation of heating stoves and chimneys;
* do not leave them unattended;
* do not overload electrical equipment;
* strict observance of the rules of operation of household electrical appliances;
* do not leave children unattended;
* Caution when using gas cylinders.
This event is held in order to reduce the number of fires in the residential sector of the capital.
