16 billion 600 million tenge has been invested in the terminal within the framework of social responsibility of the Bulat Utemuratov Fund. $4 billion has been allocated from the local budget for the engineering and communication infrastructure of the airport, the construction of highways, landscaping, lighting. More than 300 million tenge has been allocated. The new facility, which meets international requirements, has CIP waiting rooms for domestic and international flights, transit passengers, an automatic baggage delivery system, a Duty Free zone, retail outlets, a medical center, a cafe, worship services, luggage storage, rooms for mother and child. In the two-storey building, 250 passengers per hour are served by 10 passport control booths.
It should be noted that Korkyt Ata Airport has achieved good results in passenger and cargo transportation over the past 9 months. In January-September, 264,506 passengers were served at the airport, which is 20% more than in the same period last year. In addition, during this time, the number of flights reached 1,420. This confirms the steady growth of the Korkyt Ata Airport and the high activity of air transportation.
