This was stated by the Akim of the Kyzylorda region, Nurlybek Nalibayev, during a briefing at the Central Communications Service.
One of the main goals arising from the President’s Address to the people of Kazakhstan is to attract domestic and foreign investment. This year, KZT 478.3 billion has been achieved out of the planned KZT 517.5 billion in 10 months. Over the past three years, 35 investment projects worth KZT 30.3 billion were launched.
“It is important to emphasize that the indicator associated with the region has consistently exceeded the planned values over the past two years. In 2022, the indicator was set at KZT 373.5 billion, but according to the work done, the plan was exceeded by 10.6%, and the indicator amounted to KZT 413.3 billion. Last year, the indicator was set at KZT 424.2 billion and the plan was exceeded by 21%. That is, KZT 513.7 billion in investments were attracted, said N.Nalibayev.
Kyzylorda took first place among the regions in terms of the growth rates of indicators, fulfilling the planned indicators. KZT 42 billion was attracted in investment. The necessary raw materials were transported from abroad, especially from Russia and Uzbekistan. Since the start of the plant, 28.7 million square meters of glass were produced out of KZT 37.1 billion. 70% of products were sent to the domestic market and 30% were exported to Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Georgia, and Russia. Currently, about 400 people are employed at the plant.
To attract investment, develop production cooperation, and implement new projects, leaders of foreign companies and diplomatic representatives visit the region and organize meetings. There are many reasons to assume that the region has become a favorable location for investors.
Among major investment projects in Kyzylorda is the new Korkyt Ata Airport terminal, built with sponsorship from the Bulat Utemuratov Foundation. The construction of a 240-megawatt thermal power plant, funded by Turkish company Aksa Energy, is underway.
