Today, on November 20, Akim of Mangystau region Nurdaulet Kilybai met with residents of the Karakiyansky district in the village of Kuryk, listened to their suggestions and opinions.
Initially, the akim of the district, Symbat Toretaev, made a report on the socio-economic development of the district for the first 10 months of 2024 and focused on the large-scale work to be carried out in the future.
Intensive work is underway in the area on the development of fisheries.
The transfer of the reserved fishing area to "AktauBalykCompany" LLP for the construction of a fish processing plant is underway. The company has delivered two vessels with a cargo capacity of up to 260 tons to the port of Kuryk and is preparing for the implementation of the project.
In addition, 10 miles from Cape Sandy, it is planned to breed Caspian salmon through a cage farm. As part of the pilot project, it is planned to produce 500 tons of fish per year, with full operation – up to 5,000 tons. The project implementation period is scheduled for 2025-2028. In addition, special land plots have been allocated for the construction of parking lots for boats on the seashore in the village of Kuryk.
A number of achievements have also been made in the field of logistics development. In order to improve the quality of international cargo transportation, the Sarge terminal has been launched, 56 thousand tons of non-ferrous metals, 5 thousand tons of wheat, 2 thousand tons of fertilizers have been shipped to date. Today, the sea area is being deepened in the port of Kuryk.
In 2023-2025, 10 investment projects will be implemented in the district. One of them is the production of environmentally friendly hydrogen by the German company Svevind. As part of the project, 50 billion euros will be invested in the region, 3,500 jobs will be created during construction, and 1,800 permanent jobs are planned to be opened during the operation of the project. The project will be fully implemented in 2030.

Construction of a desalination plant with a capacity of 5,000 cubic meters of drinking water per day has also begun in the village of Kuryk. The cost of the project amounted to 800 million tenge. An underground well has been dug in the village of Yeraly, and work has been carried out on the reconstruction of a municipal water treatment plant.
Today, nine apartment buildings are being renovated in the settlement of Yeraly, belonging to the village of Kuryk. Contractors replaced the roofs of six houses and completely renovated the facades of five houses.
At the initiative of the akim of the region, farmers of the region sell their grown products without intermediaries to entrepreneurs engaged in wholesale trade in the region.
During the three-hour meeting, most of the district's population raised important issues such as unemployment, social assistance, roads, housing, agriculture, health care development and kindergarten construction.
Akim of the region Nurdaulet Kilybai instructed responsible persons to take constant control of social and other urgent problems of residents, to find their optimal solution.
After the meeting, Nurdaulet Igilikuly held a reception for residents of the district on personal issues.
