On November 21, a panel session "Sakhalin Climate Experiment: results of implementation and prospects for international cooperation" was held on the sidelines of SOR29.
The session was devoted to discussing key aspects of the experiment, including decarbonization, natural climate solutions, carbon regulation mechanisms and carbon unit trading. Cooperation at the international level aimed at implementing sustainable solutions has become an important focus.
The speaker of the session was Vice-Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mansur Tursynovich Oshurbaev. In his report, he presented Kazakhstan's experience in the functioning of the national Emissions trading system (NTS) and its contribution to reducing the carbon footprint.
