Vice Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan, M.T. Oshurbaev, spoke at a high-level Round table dedicated to fulfilling the Global Commitment to Cooling. During the event, the key steps of Kazakhstan to achieve climate goals and protect the ozone layer were announced.
Special mention was made of the Ministry's work on the ratification of the Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol.
As part of the implementation of the Montreal Protocol, the country is conducting an inventory of hydrofluorocarbons and developing a plan for their phased reduction, which will strengthen the fight against climate change.
