The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Kazakhstan took part in the panel discussion "From glaciers to farms", which took place within the framework of the COP29 climate conference. The main topic of discussion was the management of transboundary water resources and adaptation to climate change in Central and Western Asia.
The event discussed key approaches to reducing climate risks, increasing the sustainability of agriculture and improving water resources management. The participants noted the importance of joining the efforts of the countries of the region in developing and implementing effective solutions to minimize the effects of climate change.
Special attention was paid to the regional program "From glaciers to farms" (G2F). This program is aimed at creating sustainable infrastructure, supporting agriculture and attracting international funding for projects that contribute to sustainable development.
