President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev visited the headquarters of the International Judo Federation in Budapest.
During the conversation with the head of the IJF, the prospects for the development of this popular sport in our country were discussed.
Marius Wieser stressed that Kazakhstan is implementing consistent measures to popularize judo. He highly appreciated the results of our athletes at international competitions and the work of the Kazakh federation.
According to the Head of State, the parties agreed to strengthen cultural and humanitarian ties through various events.
– I would like to thank your country for its active participation in the World Nomad Games in Astana. Such events bring fraternal peoples closer together and show that our culture and history have common roots. With the support of the Hungarian Government, grants have been allocated to Kazakh students for 10 years. As a result, several thousand young people have received education in higher educational institutions in Hungary," the President said.
In conclusion, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev drew attention to the fact that multilateral cooperation between the two countries is successfully developing within the framework of such international structures as the United Nations, the OTG and the OSCE. He stressed the active participation of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban in the work of the Organization of Turkic States and highly appreciated his significant contribution to the expansion of the sphere of Turkic integration.
