Another public area in Almaty has been put in order within the framework of the "Budget of Public Participation" program. This is a pedestrian zone, which was inspected by Akim of Almaty Yerbolat Dosayev during a working detour and a meeting with the population of the Bostandyk district.
Landscaping works between houses 6 and 7 in the MD. Orbita-4 was launched in July of this year and completed this month.
A chess table, sports equipment and workout areas are located along the pedestrian zone. There is a playground for young residents of the city. Landscaping, an increase in the number of gaming equipment, sports equipment and recreation areas significantly diversify the daily routine of residents.
As part of the project, 1,817 square meters of paving stones, 1,704 square meters of asphalt pavement, 840 square meters of rubber pavement were laid, 175 linear meters of gabions were built and 42 outdoor lighting poles were installed.
"The People's Participation Budget project gave us the opportunity to propose and implement our ideas. As a result of the landscaping, the area around our houses has noticeably changed for the better, has become more cozy and comfortable to live in," a resident of the district thanked the akim.
In turn, Yerbolat Dosayev noted that work on the development of a comfortable urban environment for residents of the megalopolis will continue.
"The project was carried out taking into account the new standards developed for the modernization of courtyard spaces. As part of the city plan, it is planned to reconstruct these territories with the creation of separate zones for adults and children," the head of the city said during a meeting with the population.
At the request of residents of the district, Yerbolat Dosayev instructed to install video surveillance cameras along the pedestrian zone.
Also, the akim of the district was instructed to ensure the regularity and completeness of cleaning of yard territories by the contractor.
It should be noted that the program "Budget of public participation" is being actively implemented in the megalopolis. This year, 18.8 billion tenge has been allocated for the project, which is 5.8 billion tenge more than last year. Almaty residents had the opportunity to propose and implement 364 projects for the improvement of courtyards, public spaces, the creation of sports and playgrounds.
