Akmola region plays a key role in the supply of agricultural goods, laying the foundation for a food belt around the capital. In accordance with the instruction of the Head of State, a 300-kilometer zone was defined, including 17 districts of the region.
At the first forum of agricultural workers of the country, the President noted that the region corresponds to the status of the "food belt" of Astana.
About 80 tons of meat and meat products, 320 tons of dairy products, about 700 thousand eggs and 25 tons of flour are supplied daily.
More than 125 enterprises in the region regularly supply their products to 44 large retail outlets in Astana, including Magnum, Astykzhan, Small chains, as well as markets — Eurasia, Alem, Shapagat and others.
Thanks to the work carried out, the level of Astana's food supply has significantly increased: the capital's needs for meat and dairy products are provided by more than 30%, for eggs – by 80%, for potatoes – by 85%, and for vegetables – by 20%. This contributes to the sustainability of the food situation and stimulates the development of agriculture in the region.
Akmola region continues to strengthen its position as a reliable partner of the capital, ensuring the availability and quality of products for its residents.
