More than 200 residents of Akmola were awarded in honor of the Day of the Agricultural Worker

Today, the first regional forum was held in Kokshetau, which brought together the best farmers and industry leaders, honored workers and agronomists, livestock breeders, heads of farms and agricultural enterprises.
Congratulating the workers of the agricultural sector, Akim of the region Marat Akhmetzhanov noted the key role of the agricultural sector in the economy of the region, stressing that the success of the industry is the result of hard work, dedication and professionalism of all those who work on the land.
"Akmola region is a leader in the production of cereals and oilseeds in Kazakhstan. The grain harvest in Akmola region is a significant achievement that confirms the region's status as a center of agricultural production in the country. The work of grain growers deserves high praise and respect, because their efforts ensure the food security of the country. Over the past year, the region's farmers have achieved impressive results. We are proud of you and express our sincere gratitude for your work," Marat Akhmetzhanov said.
As the head of the region further noted in his speech, the gross product of the region in the field of agriculture has reached an impressive amount of 828 billion tenge. And this is not the limit. According to forecasts, by the end of this year this figure will surely exceed the mark of 1 trillion tenge. Despite the fact that the sowing and harvesting campaigns of this year were accompanied by difficult natural and climatic conditions, the region has harvested a record grain harvest in recent decades in the amount of 6.6 million tons with an average yield of 14.1 c/ha, 30% of Kazakhstan's grain is produced in the Akmola region.
The akim of Akmola region paid special attention to the issues of modernization of agriculture, the introduction of new technologies and increasing the level of support for farmers. He assured that work will continue to create favorable conditions for the development of the agricultural sector, including the expansion of state support, modernization of infrastructure and training of specialists.
The food belt, which includes 17 districts of the region, is of great importance in the stable provision of agricultural products to the population of Astana. Currently, 125 enterprises in the region are engaged in the supply of agricultural products, supplying their products to 44 large retail outlets in the capital.
The work of agricultural workers was appreciated. By the decree of the President of the country, nine Akmola farmers received state awards. The leaders of production – milkmaids, machine operators, agronomists, drivers, poultry farmers and others who achieved outstanding work results were awarded with certificates of honor, letters of thanks and cash prizes. The workers of the Gorodetsky, Raysky and Kaspiev dynasties received cars as a gift.
For the first time, a number of farmers were awarded the badge of distinction "Akmola – enbek ozaty". Among them are machine operators Duysembai Yskakov and Vladimir Gerasimov, Heroes of Socialist Labor Yesilbai Kadralin and Valentin Shcherbakov, a man of labor, an honorary citizen of the Birzhan Sal Altynai Bazylova district.
The solemn event ended with a festive concert.
