Cars were beaten and windows were broken: vandals continue to be punished in Astana

Active work continues in Astana to curb acts of vandalism and violations of public order. The police found and brought to justice the next vandals, the official website of the Mayor's Office of Astana reports.
So, in the evening of November 12, a 32-year-old man in the university building hit a wooden door out of anger and damaged it.
On the night of November 17, a 37-year-old citizen, while in the police building, broke a window in the duty station with his hand.
On the evening of November 18, a 42-year-old citizen damaged someone else's car. A few hours later, another 36-year-old man, being drunk, also damaged a car in another area.
All three were found and brought to administrative responsibility for the intentional destruction or damage of other people's property (Articles 147-1 of the Administrative Code), where the damage does not exceed the amount of 200 MCI or 690 thousand tenge.
Since the beginning of the year, preventive work has been carried out in Astana as part of the Stop Vandal campaign, which was supported by volunteers, activists, famous athletes, and residents of the city.
The purpose of the action is to stop any manifestations of vandalism and preserve cleanliness and order in the capital.
Since the beginning of the year, the court has already punished over 270 people for intentional damage to other people's property, pollution of public areas, damage to buildings and residential premises. All of them were brought to justice.
Vandalism prevention is carried out in coordination with the City Prosecutor's Office and the Police Department.
