An official visit of the delegation of the North Kazakhstan region to the city of Xi'an, Shaanxi province, China took place. This visit was held under the auspices of the Agreement on the Establishment of Twinning Relations between the North Kazakhstan Region and Shaanxi Province, signed during the state visit of the Head of State to China. The trip took place with the support of the Consulate General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Xi'an, headed by Consul General Zhoshykhan Kyraubayev.
The head of the region, Gauez Nurmukhambetov, held an official meeting with the governor of Shaanxi Province, Zhao Ide. Both sides discussed issues of developing mutual partnership and signed an action plan to strengthen cooperation between North Kazakhstan Region and Shaanxi Province and a memorandum on expanding trade relations with the Chang Ba International Port.
The official and business delegation visited a number of industrial facilities in Xi'an City. The delegation got acquainted with the activities of the trade and logistics company and the international dry port.
The Governor of North Kazakhstan Region visited the industrial complex of the Aiju company, held a meeting with the leadership of Jia Hei. In addition, the opening of the North Kazakhstan Production Center in Xi'an took place. Aiju company is a long-time partner of our region, which has created a large agricultural cluster for the production of oilseeds and a mill complex in North Kazakhstan region.
This company plans to create a large agropark in our region, which will include wind farms, a meat processing plant, food production, and a logistics center. According to these projects, memoranda were signed in the amount of 93.5 billion tenge. Of which 5.5 billion tenge is a contract between Atameken Agro agricultural holding and FamSam company for the production of elevator equipment. At a separate meeting, Gauez Nurmukhambetov discussed the implementation of investment projects with potential investors.
The delegation got acquainted with the work of the innovative greenhouse and the achievements of the Northwestern University of Agriculture and Forestry in Yangling. The governor of the region met with doctoral students from Kazakhstan studying at this university. The opening ceremony of the joint Kazakh-Chinese laboratory on animal husbandry for the study and development of scientific projects was held at the university.
