Zhambyl and Almaty regions jointly conducted the republican command and staff exercises "Kys-2024".
The exercises were organized on 205 km of the Almaty-Tashkent-Termez highway of republican significance in the Kordai district (Kordai Pass).
Akim of Zhambyl region Yerbol Karashukeyev and Akim of Almaty region Marat Sultangaziev observed the course of the exercises.
The exercises were conducted according to a specially prepared scenario. Joint actions have been worked out to organize emergency rescue operations, search and rescue of people, first aid, evacuation from dangerous areas.
The event was attended by local executive bodies, the emergency rescue service, civil protection agencies, the Department of Emergency Situations, the Zhambyl regional branch of the Disaster Medicine Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the police Department.
In total, 150 people and 42 pieces of equipment are involved from Zhambyl and Almaty regions.
In turn, the akims of the regions thanked everyone for their active participation in the exercises and noted that the main goal is to prevent emergencies and ensure the safety of citizens.
It should be noted that in all districts of Zhambyl region, exercises have been organized to prepare for emergency situations in winter. More than 850 people and 200 pieces of equipment are involved.
During the 10 months of this year, the territorial divisions of the Department of Emergency Situations, together with local executive bodies and civil protection bodies, conducted 7,933 exercises.
