The international scientific and practical conference "Ulyk tulga" was held in Zhambyl region, dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding statesman and public figure Turar Ryskulov.
The event was attended by Akim of Zhambyl region Erbol Karashukeyev, Advisor to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Malik Otarbayev, famous scientists, foreign researchers, historians, and students.
The moderator of the conference, Director of the Central State Archive, Candidate of Historical Sciences Sabit Shildebai drew the audience's attention to Turar Ryskulov's contribution to strengthening the unity of the Turkic peoples.
Advisor to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Malik Otarbayev conveyed greetings to the participants of the conference on behalf of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
– Turar Ryskulov is an outstanding scientist and statesman, one of the founders of the idea of independence of Kazakhstan. He served his people faithfully. Turar Ryskulov saved his people from extinction during the great famine. We also know him as a fighter for the unity of the Turkic peoples. Popularization and scaling of his legacy is our common task," the welcoming address says.
Governor of the region Yerbol Karashukeyev noted the importance of studying the political, spiritual and historical heritage of Turar Ryskulov.
- Among the talented sons of the Kazakh people, the figure of Turar Ryskulov stands out – a statesman and public figure, an outstanding fighter for the unity of the Turkic peoples. The anniversary of Turar Ryskulov became an important milestone in the cultural life of the country, recalling the importance of his contribution to the development of our region and the whole of Kazakhstan. We always honor and respect outstanding personalities. Their work is inscribed in golden letters in the pages of our history," the governor of the region noted.
Economist, public figure Orazaly Sabden proposed to open a research institute where Turar Ryskulov's legacy will be studied.
Excellent student of education of the Kyrgyz Republic, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Professor Doolotbek Saparaliev noted that Turar Ryskulov devoted his life to the unity of the Turkic world.
The scale of Turar Ryskulov's personality was discussed in his speeches by the scientist-turarologist Mukhtar Kazybek, rector of the Taraz Regional University named after M.H. Dulati Mukhtar Baizhumanov, poet, writer, candidate of historical Sciences Suragan Rakhmetuly, journalist, turarologist Meiramkhan Zhapek, candidate of historical Sciences, Professor Seidekhan Baktorazov.
