UST-KAMENOGORSK TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY HAS ENTERED THE WORLD'S PRESTIGIOUS LEAGUE
D.Serikbayev EKTU was one of the first universities in Kazakhstan to join the World TVET League (World League of Technical and Vocational Education). The delegation of VKTU, consisting of Chairman of the Board – Rector Saule Rakhmetullina, Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation Zhadira Konurbayeva and Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Asia Mashekenova, took part in the First General Meeting of the TVET World League and the World Conference on the Development of Technical and Vocational Education, which were held in Tianjin (China).
This large-scale event hosted the opening ceremony of the League, which will become a platform for discussing innovative approaches and best practices in vocational education.
– It is a great honor for us to represent Kazakhstan on the global educational platform. Participation in the World TVET League will help to introduce the best international practices into the educational process of our university and, based on this experience, improve the quality of higher education in general, - said Rector of VKTU Saule Rakhmetullina.
The League focuses on the importance of innovation and partnership for the training of highly qualified personnel. Global changes in the labor market require the adaptation of educational systems, and participation in the World TVET League opens up new opportunities for D.Serikbayev EKTU. As part of the cooperation, the university plans to introduce new educational technologies and expand international cooperation.
Cooperation with the World TVET League is a significant achievement not only for VKTU, but also for the whole of Kazakhstan. This event confirms that Kazakhstani universities are ready to be leaders of change and strengthen their positions in the field of training highly qualified specialists for the modern world.
