Since the beginning of the year, 536 billion tenge of investments have been attracted to Shymkent. To increase and stimulate the economy of the region, it is important to create favorable conditions for investors. Since this year, the front office of Shymkent-Invest has been actively working in order to increase the effective attraction of investments. This office provides services to investors on the principle of "one window". To date, about 2 thousand services have been provided to investors here, including from the development of a business plan to full support of the necessary permits for the implementation of the project. This was stated by Akim of Shymkent Gabit Syzdykbekov at a visiting reporting meeting at the site of the central communications service.
According to the head of the metropolis, thanks to the support provided, the volume of attracted investments reached 536 billion tenge, which increased by 9% compared to last year.
"The government plans to attract 5.6 trillion tenge of investments to the city until 2028. To date, a group of 220 investment projects worth 2.7 trillion tenge has been created, and it is planned to create more than 30 thousand new jobs. One of the large – scale projects is the largest greenhouse complex in the country, the total area of which is 650 hectares. The project will be implemented by the Turkish investor Alarko Holding with an investment of 650 million dollars. In addition, an agreement was signed with the Polish company "Fabe Polska" on the construction of a high-tech greenhouse on an area of 150 hectares, the cost of the project is долларды 200 million. Another major project is the construction of a steam and gas plant with a capacity of 500 MW, in which 700 million dollars will be invested. Within the framework of this project, residents of the city will be provided with high – quality electricity and heat," G. Syzdykbekov said.
In addition, the mayor noted that this year the number of active small and medium-sized businesses in Shymkent exceeded 136 thousand. This year, 23.5 billion tenge is provided for measures of state support for entrepreneurship. In addition, for the first time in the city, the project "small production sites" (industrial park) was launched in order to support new initiatives of small and medium-sized entrepreneurs. Here, entrepreneurs are offered ready-made production sites with the necessary infrastructure.
