A New Year's performance for 100 children with special educational needs took place in the Abai region. The children, accompanied by their parents from schools and special boarding schools in the Abai region, were invited to the celebration. The event also brought together gifted special children who have achieved success in sports and creativity. All of them are recipients of services provided by Special Social Services Centers.
The New Year's event gave the children a festive atmosphere: a bright theatrical performance with the participation of fairy-tale characters, funny contests, round dances around the Christmas tree and, of course, long-awaited gifts from Santa Claus. The joyful smiles of the children and the grateful words of the parents became the best reward for the organizers.
Akim of the region Nurlan Urankhaev congratulated the children on the holiday and presented them with gifts.
It should be noted that this year 450 children aged 9 to 13 attended the Christmas trees organized by the akimat of the Abai region.
For reference: the selection process for children is carried out strictly and transparently. The board of trustees established at each school is responsible for determining the participants. City and district education departments form lists of children based on established criteria, which are then approved by a special commission. It is important to emphasize that the lists of participants in the events are updated annually. Those who have already visited the Christmas tree in the past are not included in the new list, which makes the holiday accessible to more children.
