The Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory is celebrating its 80th anniversary, and on this occasion Alexander Zatsepin - one of the most famous composers, the author of music for the cult films "The Caucasian Captive", "The Diamond Hand", "12 Chairs" and "Ivan Vasilyevich changes his profession" — sent warm congratulations and noted the contribution of his alma mater to his career.
"I enrolled in the 50s. He studied with Evgeny Grigoryevich Brusilovsky. The professorship was very good and interesting. I met many people here with whom I was friends — the composers Rakhmadiev, Mendygaliev, Mukhamedzhanov. I came to study only with a music school, I didn't finish anything else, and I was taught everything at this conservatory. Thank you very much! I remember her all my life," Alexander Sergeevich said.
The composer's path to great art began in Almaty. Here he studied composition and piano, took his first steps at the Kazakhfilm film studio and wrote the music for the film "Our Dear Doctor" (1958), which became his first success.
For 80 years, the Kazakh National Conservatory has educated many outstanding musicians. Among its famous graduates: Bibigul Tulegenova, Alibek Dnishev, Alan Buribayev, Abzal Mukhitdinov, Nurzhamalusenbayeva, Medetchotabayev and many others, including Alexander Zatsepin himself.
In honor of the 80th anniversary of the Kazakh National Conservatory, a large-scale marathon of more than 30 events has been organized. On December 3, a gala concert will be held on the stage of the Palace of the Republic, and the solemn celebration will end with the grand final on December 20 at the E. Rakhmadiev Grand Concert Hall.
