There are a total of 362,287 pensioners in the Turkestan region. Of these, 186,489 citizens are recipients of an old-age pension, 175,198 are recipients of a basic pension. In addition, 346,238 citizens of the region are among the recipients of benefits. This was announced at a briefing by Begman Nurmakhanov, head of the department of the Committee for Regulation and Control in the field of social protection of the population in the Turkestan region.
"Turkestan region is the leader in the country in terms of the number of large families. To date, 120,549 large families in the region receive benefits. The Department also established a benefit for 64,354 mothers with many children. In addition, 75,262 residents of the region receive disability benefits, 21,839 citizens receive state benefits due to loss of breadwinner," the speaker said.
In addition, the head of the department focused on the work on conducting a medical and social examination. According to statistics, as of October 1, 2024, the number of people with disabilities in the region reached 100,029, which amounted to 13.7% of the total number of disabled people in the republic. Of those with disabilities, 15,189 are minors, the remaining 84,840 are residents of the region over the age of 18.
Since the beginning of the year, the department has conducted 196 inspections on the implementation of state control in the field of social protection of persons with disabilities. As a result of the inspection, 51 orders were issued, a total of 160 facilities were fined in the amount of 34 million 187 thousand tenge. Of these, 33 million 228 thousand tenge were produced.
