Since the beginning of this year, the Ministry of Emergency Situations has trained about 16 thousand people of various categories on the basis of the National Center for Scientific Research, Training and Education in the Field of Civil Protection, as well as Emergency Departments.
More than 90,000 exercises and trainings were held in the country's regions, covering 5,972,930 citizens. Significant coverage has been achieved through regular seismic surveys conducted quarterly.
In addition, work is actively underway at the national and regional levels with "Young Ministers of Emergency Situations" from school parliaments. As part of this work, activities are being organized to prepare schoolchildren for solving practical life safety tasks that correspond to everyday life.
A pilot project to train heads of educational institutions under the program "Preparedness of educational organizations for emergencies" has been launched in Almaty and Shymkent. During the training, the teachers mastered practical actions in case of earthquakes, fires, mudflows and other emergency situations. The positive experience of these pilot projects will be extended to all regions of the country in 2025.
A large-scale propaganda and explanatory work was also carried out in Almaty, as part of which preventive talks were held about the "10 steps in case of an earthquake" and the collection of an alarm case. The work covered 9 thousand multi-storey buildings and 27 thousand private houses, with a total population of 817 thousand people. 23.5 thousand plates with QR codes have been installed, which contain information about the reception points for victims.
As part of the Republican command and Staff exercise "Zher-2024", 2,134 multi-storey residential buildings with a total population of 90 thousand people were covered, with the distribution of memos and the installation of additional signs with QR codes. Also, more than 4 million copies of campaign materials were prepared and distributed in the regions, 2,016 information materials were placed on billboards and 16,784 information and reference stands were installed.
To train the staff of social facilities, employees of medical and social institutions providing services to people with disabilities were included in the list of trainees. The Ministry of Emergency Situations also signed a memorandum with the Public Association "Society of Persons with Disabilities "Kedergisiz KZ".
"In general, the work carried out by the Ministry to organize training for citizens in emergency situations, as well as regular training in educational institutions and government agencies, are yielding positive results. There is a growing interest in security issues among students and teachers, and professional knowledge of crisis management has improved," said Alexey Sovetov, Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Civil Defense and Military Units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
