An anniversary concert dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the legendary vocal and instrumental ensemble "Yashlyk" was held in Almaty.
The concert, organized with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, took place for two days, on November 22 and 23.
The Yashlyk Ensemble was founded in 1974. The group has repeatedly become a laureate of international competitions.
The event was attended by the legendary Dos Mukasan ensemble, People's Artist of Kazakhstan Roza Rymbaeva, Honored Workers of the Republic of Kazakhstan Dilnaz Akhmadieva and Alisher Karimov, singer and composer Parviz Nazarov, as well as the current composition of the Yashlyk group and stars of the Kazakh and Uighur pop.
The concert featured the hits of the ensemble of the 70s and 80s and modern treatments of famous compositions.
On behalf of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the creative team was presented with a bouquet as a sign of respect and recognition.
Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aida Balayeva congratulated the team of the Yashlyk group on its anniversary, noting that during its existence the ensemble has made a tremendous contribution to the development of musical culture in Kazakhstan.
