NATIONAL CLOTHES ARE A LEGACY OF GENERATIONS

In Shymkent, in the "House of Friendship", the festival "National clothes — the legacy of generations" was held, organized by the city department of Internal Policy and Youth Affairs together with the municipal state institution "Kogamdyk kelisim" (Public Consent).
The event, held within the framework of the project of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan "Kazaktanu" (Knowledge of Kazakhstan), was aimed at educating the younger generation in the spirit of national identity, promoting the work of craftsmen engaged in sewing national clothes and creating jewelry in the national style.
Within the framework of the festival, an exhibition of products by local craftsmen and designers who presented national clothes and jewelry was organized. A display of ethnic and modern clothing models was held in the large hall of the House of Friendship.
The event was attended by the head of the Department of Internal Policy and Youth Affairs of Shymkent Aigerim Zhumagulova and the director of the city institution "Kogamdyk kelisim" Nurken Alimkulov, who congratulated the masters who popularize national culture and values.
— Our goal is to promote the values of national unity and harmony through the presentation of the creations of Shymkent craftsmen and design artists engaged in sewing national clothes and creating jewelry, — said the head of the department.
Within the framework of the festival, ethnic and modern models of national clothes from the fashion theater "Ak Bayan" of the South Kazakhstan State Pedagogical University named after U. Zhanibekov, the college named after A. Ismailov, the Aru Analar collective under the leadership of G. Espai, the Assyl Mura collective under the leadership of B. Zhetibayeva and the Central Asian Innovation University were presented.
Following the results of the festival, a professional jury determined the best and awarded the winners with diplomas and memorable gifts.
