On December 13, 2024, Vice Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askhat Orazbek met with the population of Shymkent in Shymkent.
In his speech, the Vice Minister spoke about the activities and achievements of the Ministry in the field of public services, telecommunications and digitalization.
During the meeting, the Vice Minister spoke about the ongoing work on the transfer of public services to electronic format. Currently, 93% of public services are provided in electronic format, of which 90.8% are available on the eGov Mobile platform. As a result of the integration of digital solutions, 42.3 million services were provided in a proactive format, which does not require citizens to visit government agencies.
He also noted that the IT sector has shown its results in recent years. Thus, the number of IT companies has grown by 16% over the past three years, the average monthly salary of IT specialists has increased by 54% (673 thousand tenge), employment growth in the IT sector has increased by 12% (reached 187 thousand people). Astana Hub International Technopark unites more than 1.5 thousand The total income of the participants amounted to 1.2 trillion tenge (an increase of 31 times over the past five years). Today, there are 18 regional IT centers in Kazakhstan. In order to implement the instructions of the Head of State, the TechOrda program has been launched, which provides for the training of 20 thousand people. "In the three quarters of this year, export revenue reached 143 billion tenge. The annual increase has already exceeded 10 times in four years. Thus, Astana Hub continues to strengthen its position as a leading technology park in the region," the Vice Minister noted.
Askhat Orazbek also spoke about the ongoing work in the field of telecommunications. In order to improve the quality of communication in the city of Shymkent this year, operators have installed 133 4G BS and upgraded 119 4G BS. Since the beginning of 2024, 19 inspections have been carried out in Shymkent, fines amounting to 44.3 million tenge have been imposed. In the city of Shymkent, 125 BS were commissioned by the operator of Kcell JSC in 2023, and 114 BS in 2024, and 239 BS are currently being serviced.
In addition, the Vice Minister answered questions from residents of the region. One of the urgent issues for the city of Shymkent is to ensure high-quality communication and Internet access.
