On the eve of the Republic Day, a grandiose housewarming event was held in Shymkent for 304 families who received new housing under the state program. The solemn handing over of the keys took place in the Bozaryk microdistrict, where the happy owners of the apartments cut the ribbon and traditionally scattered sweets. The event was attended by the mayor of the city Gabit Syzdykbekov.
According to the akim of Shymkent, the provision of affordable housing is one of the most important tasks of the program.
The apartments were purchased by the waiting list through Otbasy Bank under the programs "2-10-20" and "5-10-20". Among the new settlers are families with children with special needs, single—parent families, people with disabilities, orphans and children left without parental care, as well as employees of budget organizations.
"Getting your own apartment is certainly a huge event for our family. We have been waiting for this moment for so long!" one of the happy new settlers shares his emotions.
Since the beginning of the year, 1514 citizens have been provided with housing in Shymkent within the framework of the program in the directions "2-10-20", "5-10-20" and "5-20-25". Also, 150 families were able to get housing under the regional program "Kamkor". This year, 311 additional social certificates were allocated to support the poor, which allowed families to purchase housing free of charge.
By the end of 2024, Shymkent plans to hold tenders for 10 more multi-storey buildings, which provide 4,000 apartments for new settlers.
