On December 25, at about 11:00 a.m., a plane heading from Baku to Grozny crashed in Aktau.
The head of the region, Nurdaulet Kilybai, went to the scene of the incident, and an operational headquarters was formed under the chairmanship of the akim of the region. At the scene of the accident, the Emergency Department, the Department of Internal Affairs and the local akimat are carrying out all necessary rescue operations.
52 emergency personnel are working at the crash site, 11 pieces of equipment are involved. Rescuers arrived at the scene and began extinguishing the aircraft that caught fire. Currently, information on the victims is being clarified, according to preliminary data, there are survivors.
According to the head of the health department, Bekbolat Izbasarov, 28 people survived. 26 of them were taken to the regional hospital, two children were admitted to the children's hospital.
It should be noted that there were 62 people and 5 crew members on board.
