Akim of Zhambyl region Erbol Karashukeyev met with beet farmers in Merken district.
The head of the region visited the farms "Kuan I D", "Mykhan Orda", "Transfer", "Zhylybulak-Merki" and got acquainted with the progress of harvesting sugar beet.
This year, the Merken farmers sowed sugar beet on an area of 3,771 hectares. As of October 29, sugar beet has been removed from an area of 1,400 hectares.
The governor of the region also visited the Merken sugar factory and inspected the acceptance of sugar beet.
This year, the Merken plant is ready to accept and process up to 450 thousand tons of beetroot.
In accordance with the instructions of the akim of the region, systematic work has been carried out for the smooth operation of the beet receiving point. In particular, two additional sites for receiving beets will be created. Farmers will now not wait long to hand over raw materials.
Preferential loans are issued to replenish the working capital of Merken Sugar Factory LLP. The purchase price of beetroot at the plant is 15 tenge/kg. For farmers who bring beets from other regions (a distance of more than 100 kilometers), including transportation costs, 18 tenge.
Erbol Karashukeyev instructed to complete the work on the preparation of two additional sites within 2-3 days.
