The Kumis Zhas program is aimed at supporting people who are approaching retirement age, but can still actively work.
The Kumis Zhas program was launched in Kazakhstan in order to support citizens of pre-retirement age in the labor market in order to use their professional experience and potential. As part of the project, employers attract citizens over the age of 50, while their monthly wages are subsidized by the state.
Since the beginning of the year, 791 people have got a job in Shymkent through this program. They work in such fields as education, medicine, culture, social services and others.
One of the participants of the program, 59-year-old Ayman Telgozieva, worked for a long time as an accountant in various industrial organizations in Almaty, and after moving to Shymkent, she got a job as a cleaner in the public organization of the disabled "Samgau biik" through the state program "Kogamdyk Zhumys".
She received a referral under the Kumis Zhas program and in this regard noted: “The state program has opened up new opportunities. I am glad that I can apply my experience and knowledge for the benefit of society, helping both myself and others.”
Shymkent is one of the regions successfully implementing the Kumis Zhas program. This project helps to increase the activity of experienced citizens in society and saturate the labor market with qualified specialists.
