Kazakhstan and China strengthen cooperation in the field of technical and vocational education

As part of the implementation of the instruction of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the creation of a National Competence Center for the support and development of students of technical and vocational education, Minister of Education Gani Beisembayev visited the People's Republic of China. During the trip, the Minister got acquainted with best practices in the field of vocational education and held a number of meetings with Chinese colleagues.
One of the key events was a visit to the Lu Ban workshop, a unique educational center for training specialists. The complex is equipped with modern equipment and educational materials that allow students to master the latest production technologies, digital technologies and engineering design. This experience is planned to be used in the creation of a National Competence Center in Kazakhstan, which will open up new opportunities for students in the field of technical and vocational education.
In Tianjin, the Minister held a series of talks with representatives of China's leading colleges. The parties discussed the prospects for bilateral cooperation and exchange of experience in the field of training workers.
Gani Beisembayev also took part in the World Conference on the Development of Vocational Education with the participation of relevant ministers of 48 countries. In his speech at the plenary session, the Minister stressed the importance of developing the system of technical and vocational education in Kazakhstan.
"Within the framework of the Year of Working Professions announced by the President of Kazakhstan, the transformation of the system of technical and vocational education is being carried out. Special attention is paid to the development of soft skills such as emotional intelligence and engineering thinking, which are necessary for complex production tasks. Legislative norms are being improved and management at colleges is being strengthened, taking into account international practices. Kazakhstan strives to integrate the global professional community and advanced educational technologies into the training process to increase the competitiveness of our students," Gani Beisembayev said.
On the sidelines of the event, the minister held a bilateral meeting with his Chinese counterpart Huai Jinpeng. The parties discussed issues of strengthening Kazakh-Chinese cooperation and exchange of experience between the two countries in the field of technical and vocational education.
