Kazakhstan took part in the IAEA Ministerial Conference on Nuclear Science, Technology and Their Application

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Ministerial Conference on Nuclear Science, Technology and Their Applications, dedicated to food security, climate change, health and water resources management, was held in Vienna from November 26 to 28, 2024.
In addition, the conference discussed technical cooperation programs aimed at developing nuclear technologies and improving their safety in various industries, as well as the role of nuclear technologies in solving these global problems, emphasizing the importance of further cooperation and knowledge exchange in these areas.
Director of the Department of Atomic Energy and Industry of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Gumar Sergazin and representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan took part in the conference from the Republic of Kazakhstan.
"Kazakhstan highly appreciates and fully supports the IAEA Technical Cooperation program, which provides unique opportunities to strengthen national capacities, introduce innovative solutions and disseminate world best practices," Gumar Sergazin said in his speech at the conference.
The IAEA Technical Cooperation Program, as emphasized by Gumar Sergazin, plays a key role in achieving the goals of sustainable development and strengthening international security in the field of nuclear energy.
The Conference demonstrated the importance of joint efforts of countries to address global challenges and achieve sustainable development on the planet. Kazakhstan remains committed to international obligations in the field of the use of atomic energy and will continue to actively cooperate with the IAEA to achieve these goals.
