The President was informed about the measures implemented by the Ministry in 2024 in the fields of culture, information, civil society, religion, interethnic, youth policy and creative industries, family and demographic sphere, archives and librarianship, as well as preparations for the implementation of the department's long-term plans for 2025.
This year, Aida Balayeva noted, Kazakh art was presented for the first time at world-famous art venues: the Venice Biennale, the Hime Museum of Asian Arts, which were visited by about two hundred thousand people.
Kazakhstan's publishing products were demonstrated for the first time at the world's main book exhibition – Frankfurter Buchmesse, which was attended by delegations from 153 countries.
An important project in terms of promoting the history, culture and traditions of the country was the launch of the information and educational platform "Qazaq culture" in eight languages, including world languages.
The opening and closing ceremonies of the V World Nomad Games in Astana were also a bright cultural event
The Ministry has carried out significant work in the field of lawmaking this year.
In 2024, the minister noted, a new media law was adopted in Kazakhstan aimed at improving the status of a journalist, a representative office of the Euronews television company was opened, amendments to legislation regarding direct financing of the Kazakhfilm film studio are being considered in parliament.
The Ministry is also carrying out targeted work to improve legislation in the field of charity and creative industries.
At the same time, the Ministry supports the development of the volunteer movement. Compared to 2022, the number of active volunteers has increased to 240 thousand people. More than 50 volunteer projects are implemented annually, 7 Kazakhstani volunteers have been sent to the UN structures.
The Ministry has developed a package of measures to support creative industries: the creation of a Fund for Creative Industries, the deduction of 3% of the revenue of Satti Zhuldyz, the expansion of the competencies of government agencies and M&E, the provision of infrastructure. A special tax regime has been introduced for creative industry entities. Since the beginning of the year, 10 creative centers and hubs have been opened in the country.
