Deputy Akim of the region Abai Zhasulan Sarsebayev paid a working visit to Ayagoz district. During the trip, he got acquainted with the activities of key social facilities in the Ayagoz district.
One of them was the KSU "Territorial Social Service Center of the Akimat of Ayagoz district", which provides assistance to various categories of the population. The center was founded in 1995 and is located in a building built in 1970, equipped with modern classrooms and equipment for the provision of eight types of social services. On the basis of the center, 50 recipients of services are served in a semi-stationary environment, and another 243 people receive support at home.
"It is important for us that all those who need help receive not only basic support, but also the opportunity for socialization and personal growth. That is why such institutions are key links in the social protection system of the region," Zhasulan Sarsebayev said.
The deputy akim instructed to strengthen the material and technical base of the center, analyze current needs and prepare proposals for the development of specialized services for people with disabilities.
Attention was also paid to the activities of the public association "Ayagoz Association of the Disabled", which since 2014 has been providing special social services to disabled people of groups 1 and 2 with neuropsychiatric diseases. Today, the building of the association needs major repairs. Zhasulan Sarsebayev gave instructions to speed up the process of approving the renovation of the building, work out the possibilities of additional financing and consider options for expanding jobs in labor workshops.
The deputy akim also visited the district Children's and Youth sports school. The school has seven sports facilities on its balance sheet, including a modern gym and a rehabilitation center. It was instructed to intensify work on attracting children and youth to sports, as well as to develop proposals to expand the capacity of sports facilities. So, the issue of the construction of a FOK and a swimming pool was raised.
