Construction of a plant for the production of components for wind farms has begun in the Shusky district.
The ceremony of laying the foundation of the plant, which has no analogues in Central Asia, was attended by Akim of Zhambyl region Erbol Karashukeyev, Vice Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Ilyas Bakytzhan, Chairman of the Board of Samruk-Kazyna JSC Nurlan Zhakupov, Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Almaty Jiang Wei and Executive President of Sany Renewable Energy Zhou Fugui.
The enterprise will be built on the territory of the special economic zone "Jibek Joly".
The investment project is being implemented by the Chinese company Sany Renewable Energy together with Samruk-Kazyna Invest LLP. The cost of the project is 53.6 billion tenge.
It is expected that the plant will be put into operation by the end of 2025. It is planned to create about 300 new jobs. The design capacity is 2 GW wind farm equipment.
The company's products will be focused on meeting the needs of the domestic market and for export.
The investment portfolio of Zhambyl region includes 80 projects worth 3.3 trillion tenge, it is planned to create 6,362 new jobs. In addition, 12 investment projects worth 1.6 trillion tenge are being implemented with the creation of 4,500 new jobs.
In 2024, it is planned to implement 35 investment projects worth 214 billion tenge with the creation of 1,453 jobs. To date, 20 projects worth 146.7 billion tenge have been launched, 674 jobs have been created.
It is worth noting that Zhambyl region is the country's leader in the development of renewable energy sources. Currently, there are 22 renewable energy sources with a capacity of 571.3 MW. Including 6 hydroelectric power plants (24.4 MW), 10 wind power plants (275.6 MW), 6 solar power plants (251.25 MW).
In 10 months of 2024, electricity production amounted to 588.4 million kWh.
Together with foreign companies, it is planned to build large wind farms in Moyinkum, Talas, and Sarysu districts.
On this day, the governor of the region got acquainted with the work of the FEZ "Jibek Joly", in particular, inspected the progress of the construction of enterprises "Taraz Gelatin" (gelatin, soap, skin treatment), "JVictorNewEnergy" (silicon production), "Kazakhstan Hydrogen Peroxide" (production of hydrogen peroxide).
In total, 19 projects are planned to be implemented on the territory of the FEZ. To date, 3 enterprises have been launched, construction work is underway on 7 projects.
