The winners of the XVII Eurasia International Film Festival have become known

The XVII Eurasia International Film Festival, the main cinematic event in Central Asia, which brought together masters and film lovers from all over the world, has ended today in Almaty. During the week, the audience saw more than 30 films, 22 of which participated in competitive programs, and the festival site became a space for dialogue, creativity and reflection.
Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aida Balayeva addressed the participants and guests of the festival with a congratulatory speech. Her greeting was read out by the Chairman of the Committee on Archives, Documentation and Book Business of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Rustam Ali.
WINNERS OF THE XVII EURASIA INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL:
The NETPAC Jury Prize is the film "Into an Unknown Country", directed by Mahdi Fleifel;
Nuri Bilge Ceylan, Chairman of the jury of the International Competition, was awarded "For his outstanding contribution to world cinema";
Famous Kazakh actor Doskhan Zholzhaksynov was awarded "For outstanding contribution to Kazakh cinema";
INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION
The prize for the best performance of a female role - Florentine Holzienger, the film "Moon" (Moon), Austria;
The prize for the best performance of a male role - Artur Pachesny, the film "Next to Nothing" (Almost nothing), Poland;
Special Jury Prize - the film "Nirvana" (Nirvana), directed by Asif Islam, Bangladesh;
Best Director Award – Jung Min Oh film "House of the Seasons" (House of the Seasons), South Korea;
Grand Prix for the best film - the film "Next to Nothing" (Almost nothing), Poland, Dir. Grzegorz Debowski;
THE COMPETITION OF THE COUNTRIES OF CENTRAL ASIA AND THE TURKIC WORLD
The prize for the best performance of a female role – Elsa Karimova, the film "The Mountain of Lovers" (The Lovers' Mountain) Tatarstan;
The prize for the best performance of a male role – Abylai Marat, the film "Deal at the Border", Kyrgyzstan;
Special Jury Prize - "One of the Days When Hemme Dies", Turkey;
The prize for the best director's work - Aruan Anartai, the film "Joqtau" (Joqtau) Kazakhstan;
Grand Prix for the best film - "Where the White Cranes Dance" Republic of Sakha (Russia);
At the closing ceremony, the ethno-fusion group KhazaR, the Aljazz variety Symphony Orchestra, and the VIVAT show ballet performed, whose performances became a bright conclusion to the week of cinematography.
The founder and organizer of the festival is traditionally the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The direct organization of the film festival was entrusted to the National Kazakhfilm Studio named after Shaken Aimanov, with the support of the Akimat of Almaty.
